Shepherd’s Mountain explores an abstracted take on a mountainous landscape. The rich yet muted blue and green tones layer depth and mystery while staying serene in essence. Built out in my signature By Mackenzie texture and plaster, the piece takes on a flatten stone feel that brings to life its earthy core.
My clients came to me with a love for the mountains and a beautiful view of them from their dining room. They wanted to feel the mountains through an my abstracted point of view. I chose to paint the color forms to follow suit with a landscape painting to keep the essence of the piece rooted with intention.
