From the wood sourced for framing to the cardboard foundations to naturally-based textures and everything in between, my art seeks to work with the earth… and never against it. Every bit of my process is geared towards sustainability just as much as it is storytelling — because the way I see it, there can’t be one without the other.

To be completely frank, Mackenzie is stupidly talented and an incredibly dope person. Not only did she create the most beautiful, moody piece, but she went out of her way to help me surprise my boyfriend while we were in Austin for the weekend. Us and friends ended up kicking it for a bit - it was like a full meet-the-artist kind of situation which just made the entire thing so much cooler. Execution was flawless and in the words of my boyfriend’s best friend “Maria won girlfriend of the year award. And yes, I’m already thinking of hiring her to design our next home.”

Looking at my piece I feel and know that it will forever give me a creative drive and something that will continue to make me creative in my own line of work.
